Natsuki Hayashi
Born in Tokyo. Took ballet lessons from an early age. Moved to the United States in 1989. While living in San Francisco, studied traditional dances from Africa, the Caribbean islands, and Brazil. Participated in carnivals in Salvador, Brazil (1993), and Trinidad(1994).
Since 1994, as a member of a Caribbean dance group, Chutney, toured Japan four times. In Spring 1996, moved back to Japan, and started giving classes for Brazilian and Caribbean dances.

In June 2000, gave birth to a son. Returned to the dance floor two months after childbirth. Currently gives regular sessions only in Shinjuku, and is considering resuming other regular classes or starting new sessions.

Involved in a contemporary dance and drumming group with a touch of Afro-Brazilian Dance, RUA*LUA, a dance unit with Surdo (Bass drum)called Banda Rua Lua, etc.
A human being who is fascinated by the cosmic and healing power of dance and drumming.
