Tania Santiago Afro-Brazilian Dance in San Francisco
Tania Santiago hails from Salvador and teaches Afro-Brazilian Dance in San Francisco. She was a member of the dance group Olodum and traveled on their world tours. I think she is one of the most outstanding dancers.
TRIBO DA LUA
TRIBO DA LUA is a group of Capoeira Angora led by Mandela from Bahia.
He teaches classes around the Tokyo area. Also with his valuable knowledge in Afro-Brazilian rhythms, he plays Atabaque(Afro-Brazilian percussion) in my classes on regular bases.

He is a increadible photographer. His photos are shown on his website.
He is also one of the first Japanese who reside in Salvador da Bahia.

GRUPO DE SAMBA ALEGRIA
Last year, they were champion of the Asakusa Samba Carnival's second league contestants. I recommend this group if you are interested in Samba.
AFRO AXE
They are the only group in Asakusa Carnival that do African oriented dances. Super energetic!!
Liderdade
Also from the Asakusa Samba Carnival. This group always maintains a high position among the first league contestants. Recommended site.

STUDIO RHYTHMOON
This woody dance studio was started in Aug.2002. The unique part of the studio is that it is able to hold in the powerful drumming sound for 24 hours. Djembe, Salsa, Afro-Brazilian dance, HipHop, Capoeira, and strecth classes are held for kids to senior.
